Jeanne began working professionally with children in Denver, Colorado, where she worked primarily with vulnerable children from low-income families in Denver's inner city. She also worked closely with her clients’ parents and caregivers, supporting them in providing for their children’s emotional and psychological needs.
Jeanne and her family moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 2004, where she began work as an associate with Psymetry Psychological and Counselling, Inc.

Jeanne enjoys teaching, and has taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in both Edmonton and Denver. She was also part of the training team of the Alberta Children's Trauma Centre, presenting workshops on childhood trauma to educators, foster parents, social workers, and others.She continues to lead workshops on a variety of topics for parents, foster parents, educators, and medical personnel throughout Alberta and the United States.
Jeanne especially values her ongoing relationship with Fusion Jamaica, an organization dedicated to changing the lives of Jamaica's most vulnerable children. Since 2017, Jeanne and
her husband have travelled annually (except for the COVID years) to the capital city of Kingston, where she has had the privilege of training and working with parents, professionals, and volunteers in the neighbourhood of Trench Town.
Jeanne has an international background. She was born and raised in Hong Kong, and she spent her teen years living in Gaza while attending school in Israel. She and her family lived in Denver, Colorado for many years before moving to Edmonton in 2004.
Jeanne loves her work, and is fond of saying, "my work is child's play!" When she’s not working, Jeanne enjoys time with family, volunteering, watching the Oilers, enjoying Edmonton's many cultural events, and reading as much as she can.
